VITI RACING ENGINES ARE FULL THROTTLE WITH BERTUCA IN THE ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP AT TRISCINA

Viti Racing ia at the Top of the standings in the season opener of the Italian ACI Karting Championship at Triscina in KZ2, with the spectacular double win by Cristian Bertuca racing with the LG Motorsport team, and with other excellent protagonists, such as Simone Alogna, Davide Forè, and Sorrentin Rousseau with Antonio Mancino’s KCS team, all equipped with BirelART-TM Karts.

Cristian Bertuca’s result was outstanding! With 60 drivers in KZ2, achieving a double win says a lot about the value of the Milanese driver, and of course the technical support provided to him by Viti Racing and the team. Bertuca had to get acquainted with the completely unknown track, and after setting the third fastest time in practice in group 1, he immediately took control in the heats with a first-place finish that put him on pole position in race 1, and dominated the scene with an impeccable victory and fastest lap. His feat was then confirmed in race 2, starting from eighth position due to the reverse grid compared to the finishing order of race 1. Here Bertuca was overwhelming, winning another duel to once again emerge victorious at the chequered flag. A double podium in both races, with success also in the Under 18 category. Hats off!

But the performance of Davide Forè was also impressive, always in form despite his age. The five-time world champion stood out in the heats with excellent results, and then performed at his best in the two finals with fifth place in race 1 due to a penalty for a misplaced front spoiler during the race, and then on the podium with third place in race 2, in addition to the double win in the special KZ2 Master category for over 40s.

A truly overwhelming start with Bertuca now leading the championship, and Forè in fourth place, but preceded in the standings by another excellent driver from Viti Racing, Simone Alogna, a great performer on his home circuit. Alogna reached the podium in race 1 with an excellent second place after a good comeback, and then concluded with a positive fifth place in race 2, earning him the third position in the championship.

Among the most competitive was also Sorrentin Rousseau, excellent in the heats with good comebacks from qualifying sessions, but unlucky in race 1 for being involved in an incident against his will, which he bounced back from in race 2 by climbing up 10 positions.

The classification of the ACI Karting KZ2 Italian Championship after round 1:

1st Cristian Bertuca points 65

3nd Simone Alogna points 41

4th Davide Forè points 33
