A DOUBLE PODIUM FOR VITI RACING ENGINES IN THE WSK OPEN SERIES’ OPENER
Viti Racing engines performed excellently in the opening round of the WSK Open Series at the Franciacorta Karting Track, in an event characterized by a significant presence of KZ2 drivers, with 82 among the world’s best. An outstanding podium was achieved with Cristian Bertuca, securing a splendid second place with the official BirelART Racing team on a BirelART-TM Kart, and equally exemplary was the victory claimed by the multi-champion Davide Forè in the KZ2 Masters, competing with GSR Team, also on a BirelART-TM Kart.
In the KZ2 category, Bertuca’s performance was of a high standard throughout the weekend, consistently among the fastest and determined to fight for victory in a final where he shone with an excellent second place, after leading for half the race. In the KZ2 Masters, Forè dominated the scene, aided by technical support that assisted him perfectly, winning everything from qualifications to the final phase.
Among the other Viti Racing drivers, Daniel Vasile, another protagonist of the Franciacorta weekend, was decidedly unlucky and stopped in the Final due to a technical problem with the water pump. Samuele Leonardi, who had managed to perform well among the finalists in this crowded KZ2 event, was also forced to retire.
Sebastien Belhocine, Gabin Leuillet, Zoe Florescu Potolea and Ricardo Avila Manrique were also present with Viti Racing, competing up to the Prefinals.
The second and final round of the WSK Open Series is scheduled for May 11th at La Conca, but before this event, Viti Racing will hit the track in Sicily at Triscina on April 21st for the first round of the Italian Championship.
