A FINE RESULT AT LE MANS FOR DRIVERS POWERED BY VITI RACING ENGINES: VASILE ON THE KZ PODIUM

Viti Racing engines achieved an excellent result at Le Mans in the FIA Karting World Championship KZ round, during a prestigious weekend that also featured the other two FIA Karting events: the KZ2 World Cup and the International KZ2 Masters Super Cup. The Le Mans event was one of exceptional technical and sporting calibre, pitting the leading manufacturers and top international teams against one another, with a total of 219 of the world’s strongest drivers in the gear-driven karting category.

Vasile secures a podium finish in KZ.

Daniel Vasile, driving a Maranello Kart/TM Kart/LeCont, secured a podium finish for Viti Racing in the KZ World Championship. He was the standout performer of the weekend at Le Mans right from qualifying, and was among the fastest in the heats and the Super Heat, setting the fastest lap time. In the Final, Vasile started from third on the grid and, after moving up to second place, confidently held on to third position right to the finish line, clocking the second-fastest time overall of 49.679. In the KZ class, however, it was a rather unlucky weekend for the other Maranello Kart driver, Giuseppe Palomba, the 2024 world champion; on this occasion, the Italian was forced to retire in the Final, capping off a race that had already been complicated by his retirement in the Super Heat. It was also an unlucky race for Enzo Lacreuse, driving a DR, who likewise retired in the Final.

In KZ2, Viti Racing drivers enjoyed great success in qualifying for the Final.

Of the 117 entrants in KZ2, almost all Viti Racing drivers made it through to the Final. The best result was achieved by Iaroslav Shevyrtalov, driving a Maranello Kart, who was a standout performer in the qualifying rounds and finished 13th in the Final. Other placings in the Final were secured by Niklas Vejnen on a Birelart, and by the other Maranello Kart drivers: Martti Ritonen, Georgy Vakhovksly and Andrea Pirovano. Only Clovis Nougueyrede failed to qualify.

La Martina takes centre stage in the Masters.

Viti Racing engines proved to be among the most competitive in the KZ2 Masters as well, thanks to an excellent performance by Alessio La Martina with CRG Racing Team. The Italian driver came within a whisker of the third step of the podium at the end of one of his finest races, having consistently been among the frontrunners. La Martina staged some fine comebacks in the heats, eventually securing fourth place overall. Also among the finalists was Allan Kenyon with MK Racing on a Sodi, whose result was hampered by a penalty, whilst Andrei Muraveika with Maranello Kart was unable to make up the ground.
