DANIEL VASILE ITALIAN CHAMPION WITH VITI RACING ENGINES
It was another very successful weekend at the Leopard Circuit in Viterbo for Viti Racing engines by TM Kart and its drivers in the final round of the ACI Karting Italian Championship, which concluded with Daniel Vasile clinching the title whilst racing for Federico Racing on Maranello Kart chassis.
For Viti Racing, this marked yet another fine result in Viterbo, just a few days after their podium finish in the KZ World Championship at Le Mans – once again with Daniel Vasile taking the honours – further confirming the competitiveness of Viti Racing engines in all circumstances.
Vasile’s triumph.
Daniel Vasile arrived at the Leopard Circuit in Viterbo with a comfortable lead in the standings, and his victory in the KZ2 Pre-Final gave him the ‘wild card’ he needed to clinch the coveted 2026 ACI Karting Italian Championship title. After a very positive start to the weekend in qualifying, a win and a second place in the heats, and victory in the Pre-Final, a chaotic start to the Final forced Vasile to retire, but he was still able to celebrate his championship victory. His lead, in fact, remained unchanged until the end of the race, when confirmation of his Italian title win arrived.
The other leading contenders also put in strong performances.
Andrea Pirovano also delivered an excellent performance; racing for Maranello Kart, he narrowly missed out on the KZ2 podium. Among the most competitive drivers at the Viterbo weekend, Pirovano performed at a high level right through to the Final, finishing fourth and just three tenths of a second off the podium.
The other drivers powered by Viti Racing engines, competing with Centro Italia Corse, also put in strong performances. Valerio Navarra and Edoardo Nenna went on to contest a productive Final, whilst Fabio Palluzzi was forced to retire from the Final after an excellent start in qualifying and an eighth-place finish in the Pre-Final.

1st Daniel Vasile 220 points
2nd Kimi Tani 211 points
3rd Sem Knopjes 182 points
