VITI RACING’S ENGINES ON TOP OF THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP WITH SLATER AND BIREL ART

VITI RACING’S ENGINES ON TOP OF THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP WITH SLATER AND BIREL ART

At the first round of the FIA European Karting Championship KZ2 in Zuera, Viti Racing engines have proven to be among the most competitive: Freddie Slater (GBR/BirelART-TM Kart) finished second on the podium and leads the championship thanks to his results with Viti Racing engines starting from the qualifying sessions, where he secured pole position, and then in the heats and SuperHeat, where he finished second.

The positive result for Viti Racing engines at Zuera is evident from the front row of the grid of the Final, which was entirely composed of Viti Racing engines with Daniel Vasile (ROU/BirelART-TM Kart) – another excellent performer at Zuera, who was the best after the heats and won the SuperHeat – alongside Freddie Slater. After dominating the heats and SuperHeat, the two drivers locked out the front row of the final, finishing a hard-fought race in P2 (Slater) and P6 (Vasile).

Cristian Bertuca was among the other top performers as he seemed to be headed for a great result, but a crash in one of the heats affected his weekend, culminating in a retirement in the final when he was in the top ten. The Italian driver can still take satisfaction from his second overall time in qualifying and three heat wins.

The other finalists using Viti Racing engines also put in good performances: Robert Kindervater with Birel ART Racing KSW, and the Leclerc by Lennox of Racing Gabin Leuillet, Matheus Morgatto, Maxim Rehm and Robin Glerum.
