VITI RACING ENGINES ARE THE VICE-CHAMPIONS IN THE ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP WITH CRISTIAN BERTUCA AT FRANCIACORTA
At times, things do not go as one would hope, and the fifth round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship at Franciacorta clearly demonstrates this, especially for Cristian Domenico Bertuca, representing the LG Motorsport team with a BirelART-TM Kart. The young driver, racing with Viti Racing engines, had an extremely unfortunate day and was unable to complete a season that had always seen him at the top of the championship. Just a few points were needed out of the 130 available during the Franciacorta weekend to claim the Italian title, but in race 1, a silly incident abruptly shattered the dream. His comeback in race 2, gaining 24 positions, unfortunately, was not enough; Bertuca finished eighth, failing to turn the situation around. But that is how racing goes… His 2023 victories in race 1 at Cremona, Val Vibrata and Sarno will remain indelible. Bertuca is the KZ2 driver with the most wins this year, but in the end, he must settle for the title of vice-champion, despite also reaching the podium on three other occasions: second place in race 2 at Val Vibrata and two third-place finishes in race 2 at Cremona and Sarno, in a season marked by constant aggression. That is how it went, it ended with a bitter taste, but from great defeats, great victories often arise.
