VITI RACING WINS THE OPENING ROUND OF THE ACI KARTING ITALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP WITH PALOMBA IN JESOLO
Giuseppe Palomba dominates the weekend in Jesolo with Viti Racing. He also completed a very exciting recovery in Race-2. Good race also for Moritz Ebner on the podium of KZ2 Under 20.
The opening round of the ACI Karting Italian Championship of KZ2 has been an exciting weekend at the Pista Azzurra of Jesolo (Venice) for the drivers assisted by Viti Racing. Giuseppe Palomba put in a bold performance winning Race-2 after being among the protagonists of Race-1 too. Moritz Ebner also secured a great result ending sixth overall and taking a deserved podium in KZ2 Under-20.
Palomba has dominated the weekend in Jesolo. He started off posting the pole position time in qualifying, secured one win and a second place in the two heats which earned him a pole position start in Race-1. Unfortunately, Palomba was stopped by a technical issue when leading Race-1. The driver of Team LG Motorsport on BirelART-TM Racing assisted by Viti Racing set the fastest lap of Race-1 though and then bounced back in Race-2. Despite competing on a circuit where overtaking is very difficult, Palomba successfully completed 13 overtaking moves and secured an amazing win that underlined impressive driving skills. Palomba set again the fastest lap of the race.
Moritz Ebner also run a great race for Team Tec Tav Racing Kart on BirelART. He has been an amazing protagonist of Race-2 and completed 12 overtaking moves that allowed him to get on the third step of the podium of the new KZ2 Under-20, category in which Palomba got again on the top step of the podium.
The next round on track for Viti Racing and its drivers is on April 22-25 at the fourth and closing race of WSK Super Master Series.
