Viti Racing, an incident in one heat spoiled Palomba’s WSK Open Cup in Lonato

A racing contact has spoiled Giuseppe Palomba’s WSK Open Cup on June 24th at the South Garda Karting Circuit in Lonato. The Italian driver has always been among the quickest on Intrepid-Tm assisted by Viti Racing, but in the third qualifying heat – that followed a sixth and fourth place in the first two heats, he was involved in a contact soon after the start and had to retire. Palomba has recovered well up to P6 in Prefinal-A and then ended the Final in 12th place. This incident in the heat was a real pity, as it forced Palomba to start the final stages with a big gap to the top.

The Swiss Jean Luyet took also part to the WSK Open Cup on CRG-Team assisted by Viti Racing and completed a good race ending 22nd, while the Ukrainian Ivan Peklin was 26th in the Final on BirelArt-Tm.

The next appointment with Viti Racing will be in Lonato for the Italian ACI Karting Championship on July 1st.
