A SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR VITI RACING’S ENGINES
It has been a successful year for Viti Racing and its TM Kart engines, with a series of outstanding performances on tracks in Italy and Europe, as well as in prestigious events. Accomplished drivers consistently demonstrated excellent competitiveness on every occasion.
THE EUROPEAN FIA KARTING KZ2 CHAMPION. It has been a year marked by significant results, with the most prestigious title celebrated in the FIA Karting European Championship KZ2, clinched by the young and promising British driver Freddie Slater racing with the Birel ART Racing team. There was also a sensational triple win in the second decisive race in Sarno, featuring two other fast young talents from Viti Racing, the Romanian Daniel Vasile and the Italian Cristian Bertuca. Notably, Daniel Vasile secured a podium finish in the KZ2 World Cup among FIA Karting events.
THE WSK CHAMPIONS CUP AND SUPER MASTER CHAMPION. Numerous successes came in WSK events, starting from the opening race of the WSK Champions Cup, with a KZ2 double victory by Cristian Bertuca and Freddie Slater, securing the first and second positions in the season’s first international event. Cristian Bertuca then clinched the title in the WSK Super Master Series after four rounds held in Lonato (Bertuca’s victory), Franciacorta (Bertuca’s second place), Sarno (Slater’s victory and Bertuca’s third place) and Cremona (Bertuca’s third place). The competitiveness of Viti Racing engines was also evident at the end of the season in the WSK Final Cup at Lonato and Franciacorta, with Bertuca finishing third in the championship.
THE ITALIAN KZ2 VICE-CHAMPION. High-level performances were also put in at the Italian ACI Karting Championship, where Cristian Bertuca with the LG Motorsport team on BirelART-TM Kart experienced a dramatic conclusion due to an accident in race 1. Bertuca settled for second place in the overall standings after winning at Cremona, Val Vibrata and Sarno’s race 1, and also making it to the podium on three other occasions: second in Val Vibrata’s race 2, and third in Cremona and Sarno’s race 2. Another notable result in the Italian Championship was claimed by Daniel Vasile with a victory in race 1 at La Conca.
THE KZ2 DKM VICE-CHAMPION. Viti Racing secured solid results also in the German Kart Championship (DMK) in KZ2. In Muelsen, Daniel Vasile clinched victory in race 1 and claimed third place in race 2 with the Birel ART Racing KSW team. Daniel Vasile emerged victorious from Franciacorta’s race 1, with Cristian Bertuca in third place. In race 2, Bertuca took the win, with Vasile ended second. In the championship, Vasile concluded the DKM with a second-place finish.
THE KZ2 CHAMPION IN THE MARGUTTI TROPHY. Another one-two was scored at the Andrea Margutti Trophy in Lonato, with Cristian Bertuca and Daniel Vasile finishing first and second with the KCS team on a BirelART-TM Kart.
A DOUBLE PODIUM IN THE TROFEO DELLE INDUSTRIE. Cristian Bertuca crossed the finish line first at the Trofeo delle Industrie in Lonato, but due to a penalty, he slipped to the third position behind Daniel Vasile, who secured the second spot of the podium. Both drivers were riding BirelART-TM Karts.
