GREAT DEBUT FOR VITI RACING IN WINTER CUP
Viti Racing has been among the protagonists in the season opener with Giuseppe Palomba, Alexander Dahlberg, Francesco Comanducci and Gillian Lay.
Viti Racing run its first exit of the season and scored several great results at the Winter Cup in Lonato, which is the classic season opener that celebrated its 24th edition with a world-class entry list.
In the highest category, KZ2, the selection among the 98 drivers at the start has been very tough but the competitiveness of Viti Racing’s drivers has been high since the beginning. Giuseppe Palomba, at the debut with Croc-TM, posted the quickest time in the Series-1 qualifying, while Francesco Comanducci on CKR-TM, Alexander Dahlberg on BirelArt-TM and Gillian Lay on DR-TM have also been very competitive in the Series-3 qualifying.
Viti Racing’s drivers put in positive performances during the long string of qualifying heats and in the Super Heat, where Palomba has been again among the quickest pulling one win and securing a place in the Final, joined by Dahlberg and Comanducci. Lay missed out to qualify for the Final by a whisker despite contesting Super Heat. Palomba kept the level high in the Final and fought for the top positions closing his effort with a great sixth place overall but being the first of KZ2 drivers (the top five was occupied by KZ drivers Abbasse, De Conto, Ardigò, Kremers and Federer).
Dahlberg also run a great race recovering a stunning eight places up to P14. Comanducci recovered five positions too and closed his performance in 22nd place.
