VITI RACING AND PALOMBA ON THE PODIUM OF THE EUROPEAN KZ2 CHAMPIONSHIP IN ADRIA
An important result for Viti Racing came also at the opener of the KZ2 European Championship in Adria with the podium secured by Giuseppe Palomba on BirelART.
It has been another very positive exit for Giuseppe Palomba on BirelART assisted by Viti Racing. The Italian driver has been again among the protagonists this time in the European KZ2 Championship in Adria after the great start to the Italian ACI Karting Championship in Triscina. Palomba completed in fact another great weekend at the Adria Karting Raceway. He was fourth overall in qualifying out of the 59 drivers present, was third after the four heats and came third in the final where he was among the quickest. He could have obtained a bit more, but the features of the circuit did not allow very many overtaking chances for the shifter karts and Palomba decided not to take excessive risks thinking about the next European round that will decide the title. The Italian driver settled for P3 despite showing more speed than his rival ahead. “The second round of the European Championship will be decisive for the title – Palomba commented at the end of the race a bit disappointed – and things will go differently then.” Palomba is currently third in the classification 11 points short of the leader and winner in Adria Gustavsson.
Viti Racing also supported the two Dutch drivers Coen Doorn on KR-TM and Justin Van Der Shaft on CKR-TM, that did not manage to qualify for the final mainly due to the position they obtained in qualifying.
The next appointment on track is with the second round of the Italian Championship that will take place in Sarno on August 30th.
