EXCELLENT PERFORMANCES FOR VITI RACING ENGINES IN THE EUROPEAN KZ AND KZ2 CHAMPIONSHIP IN VALENCIA

The first round of the FIA Karting European Championship for the two categories KZ and KZ2 immediately delivered strong performances for Viti Racing engines, throughout the Valencia weekend up to the final of the two categories.

In the event in Spain, Giuseppe Palomba in KZ with Maranello Kart on Maranello-TM Kart immediately stood out in qualifying with an excellent performance, confirmed in the Super Heat on Sunday morning when he claimed the second place and third position in the intermediate classification, which earned him a promising second row start for the final. Palomba’s positive streak continued in the Final, with an exceptional start that saw him immediately gain P1 and keep it for the first few laps. He finished fourth at the end of a great race, after fighting for the podium, confirming a positive trend and a good pace with performances among the fastest overall.

There was also a lot of satisfaction in KZ2, where Elie Goldstein, on TB Kart-TM Kart, came to the fore with the second-fastest absolute time in qualifying, just 0.012s from pole position. The Belgian driver’s performance continued in the heats and in the Super Heat with third place. The fifth position on the starting grid for the Final allowed Goldstein to confirm himself among the main protagonists and among the fastest overall; he also fought for the podium and eventually achieved a satisfying fourth place.

Excellent performances also came from the other drivers with Viti Racing engines in KZ2, that ended just outside the top ten but delivering exceptional comebacks, such as Alejandro Lahoz Lopez, recovering 12 positions, Robert Kindervater, who recovered 19 positions, and Michael Barbaro Paparo, recovering 15 positions. Unfortunately, Alessandro Zallocco and Kipras Jurse did not manage to qualify for the Final.

The second round of the KZ and KZ2 European Championship is scheduled for June 22nd in Sarno.
