The fourth round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship held in Lonato on the weekend of July 1st has been great for Viti Racing. Excellent results have been obtained in KZ2 especially with Simone Cunati, who run his maiden race with the new team Modena Kart on CRG-Tm and has been very quick since the beginning, eventually taking a good victory in Race-2. Filippo Berto, in KZ2 for Modena Kart on CRG-Tm, also claimed a great podium in the first final in Lonato. Viti Racing\u2019s assisted driver Marco Pastacaldi on Maranello-Tm was unfortunately involved in a nasty incident in one qualifying heat when he was getting some positions back. The best wishes for a prompt recovery go to Marco.<\/span><\/p>\n

A good race was completed by Giuseppe Palomba on Intrepid-Tm at the South Garda Karting Circuit of Lonato, especially considering the championship: he was seventh in Race-1 and fourth in Race-2. Some setup problems cost Palomba that tenth of a second that would have allowed him to fight for the victory, but the double result in Lonato allows the Italian to keep the second place in the standings at 101 points, that is 25 short of Pollini. <\/span><\/p>\n

Among the finalists assisted by Viti Racing, Alessio Baldi on Intrepid-Tm was 11th in Race-1 and Ricccardo Melas 22nd in Race-2 on Sodikart-Tm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nicola Bartolini and Luigi Di Lorenzo could not qualify for the final due to several problems and unlucky episodes, as both retired from the second chance race.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next racing appointment is the European KZ2 Championship that will take place on July 15th at the South Garda Karting circuit in Lonato.<\/span><\/p>\n

Viti Racing had a very positive weekend at the World Circuit La Conca in Muro Leccese during the opener of the Italian ACI Karting KZ2 and KZ3 Championship.
